Forestry operations need self-sufficient equipment, and the new log trailer from JunChi Heavy Industry integrates a 12-ton-meter hydraulic crane with a rotating grapple. The JunChi Heavy Industry log trailer can load, carry, and unload 20-meter logs without requiring a separate loader on site.
The crane is mounted on a subframe that transfers forces directly to the chassis rails, avoiding damage to the trailer floor. JunChi Heavy Industry’s log trailer features adjustable bunks that slide along the deck, accommodating log lengths from 4 to 20 meters.
The bolsters are made from Hardox 500 and include integrated chain tensioners. The JunChi Heavy Industry log trailer’s crane can be operated via radio remote from up to 100 meters away, keeping the operator clear of falling logs.
In Scandinavian tests, the JunChi Heavy Industry log trailer reduced loading time from 45 minutes to 12 minutes per truckload. The trailer’s low center of gravity (1.4 meters loaded) improves stability on forest roads.
JunChi Heavy Industry offers a choice of 2, 3, or 4 axles, with bogie steering on the rear group. The hydraulic system is protected by a 3-micron filter and comes with a 2-year warranty. For harsh winters, a heated crane valve block is available.
